2014 Winter Olympics!

This weekend was all about the 2014 Olympic games in Sochi, Russia! But it was also about multi-tasking! Watching the Olympic games, playing games and checking Facebook on cell phones, putting together a puzzle, and eating in front of the television! With a little coaxing Yvonne even let us eat Sunday dinner in the living room! Yea, Yvonne!

What a fun weekend!

Kari Jorgenson, Robbie Howell, Andrew Raffety, and Gabe Perez were all here. Gabe is a new sailor from the USS San Antonio.
"You're really not going to take that picture are you?"
It was really cool when Gabe said, "Hey, I was reading your blog and noticed that you know Cody Melot. We went to boot camp together!"

All of them were in Sunday school and church and then stayed until probably 9:00 last night. Kari slaved in the kitchen making chocolate chip cookies for us. Saturday night she made an iron skillet apple pie. It was great! So were the cookies!

Do you see the perfect form, the grace, and the flour on her face???? A perfect 10 I would say! :)

RISK! The game of world domination!

OK, this was last Saturday evening (February 1) and Yvonne's birthday. I won't tell you how old she is. I want to live for a few more years! All I can say is she isn't as old as I am. Enough of that all ready.

But this week we played RISK! This is one of my favorite board games; combining strategy with luck.

Bob Kroeger, Kari Jorgenson, and Andrew Raffety joined Yvonne and me for our epic battle! Notice the facial expressions? Kari's intense concentration, Andrew's expression of frustration, and Bob's apparent indifference? :>)

Hey Kari, look this way! Ooops, not while I'm taking the picture though...

Does anyone NOT know from these picture who won?
